Meet our guest speakers:


Jeff Kriege

Design Lead at HealthSherpa, a startup whose mission is to increase access to affordable healthcare. He’s previously led design teams at Atlassian, Intercom, and Dropbox. He's the Program Lead for Tech Design Sacramento and Board Member of Design Sacramento.

Douglas Struble

UX Designer and Design Sprint Facilitator at SMUD. Previously, a designer and creative director at several startups, ad agencies, publications and companies including MSN, Banana Republic, Ebay and EuroRSCG. A curiosity-driven, design thinking, people person, Douglas has also worked as a Waldorf teacher. Today, he combines his experience in design and teaching to align teams, reduce risk and quickly solve big challenges.

Lia Fetternoff

Sr. UX Designer on Google's People UX team. In this role, she focuses on optimizing Googlers' learning and training experiences. Previously, she was at Google Pay and Nest. Prior to Google, Lia designed web and mobile apps at TIBCO, Attik, and consulted for several startups. In her spare time, she explores applying design thinking to life in what she calls Life Experience Design ( and runs the monthly Roseville Product/UX/UI Meetup group.

Lia earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in cognitive science from UCLA, and an MFA in Web Design & New Media from the Academy of Art University.
